Steve Zigmont, who contributed legal info later in the article, also listed a lot of excellent requirements & tips on pyro safety, but I felt it best not to post any safety info in this article. "Why", you might ask, "would I not post the very generous offerings of such a knowledgable professional?" Well, one thing that's clear, based on the info presented by Loran & by Steve, is that the training required is pretty substantial and highly-regulated. I think that safety training & info should be presented via the required training. Atter that, I'm certain that trained professionals have a great deal to share with one another in terms of methods to further improve safety, but they do so with a full knowledge of safe & legal standards.
The bottom line is that I don't want to distribute any safety info, because I don't want anyone to think they can just apply a few safety tips, and end up with a safe show. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing", and I will not be someone who provides that little bit of knowledge in such a potentially-dangerous field. Get proper training, and follow the laws & guidelines meticulously.
